The Pressure's On....

The pressure is on. Well, sort of, anyway. Now that I'm blogging again, I have to be more mindful of the time so I have things to post regularly. I only have three faces to post, and had wanted more to show. But things are what they are. I have a pastel painting, a mixed media piece, and an ink sketch to show for the time being...faces through to Face #913.

Some of the pieces I've done lately, such as the second piece above done in mixed media, have given me ideas for larger more elaborate pieces. I am hoping to have some time to work on one over the weekend or early next week.
Until next time, take care and thanks for visiting. :)

A Seascape For A Change

I finished this piece last week, but hadn't gotten around to posting until now. While I am continuing the faces I render, I have thought about making these seascapes to sell. A few of my friends had seen them, and wanted them for themselves to purchase. They aren't particularly time consuming for me to make, and I could probably price them to sell quickly. Just an idea at this point. Once I get to a thousand faces, I'll explore the idea some more. :)
Blogger is acting crazy, and not allowing me to type below the photo, so I'll close here. Until next time, take care. Enjoy.

Just Having Fun,:Faces #906-#910

It's a little late in life to be worried about coloring outside the lines...But I felt that way in the beginning of this blog, too. While I hope people like my work, there is a lot of self gratification and personal fulfillment at hand. I haven't been open to comments or feedback, and I'm pursuing my passion and a personal goal. These pieces in particular I have been enjoying, considering the months I spent thinking I would never be able to draw or paint again. Considering how close I draw near to my goal of a thousand faces.
The first piece is pastel on a 12" by 18" sheet of Canson. I think I like this one the best of this batch.
The following two pieces are done on I think 9" by 12", Shizen paper.

Here below is the other half of the sheet of Canson, pastel on 12" by 18".
Finally, an 11" by 14" ink sketch.
I will post again soon. As always, thanks for visiting my blog, and take care until next time. :)

Faces #901-#905, By The Sea

Some newer dabbling.....
A mixed media piece, some ink sketches, another mixed media piece, then a pastel sea horse.

Until next time, take care.
