Most of the drawing I have done over the course of my life, has not been from real life or photographs. I extract the truth about anatomy, light, etc. and then improvise on the rest. I draw the features of my fictitious people at will. I live more fully in a fictional world and have very often sought to escape the bondage of reality with my art, or by delving into the watching of a great movie where for a few hours I can forget my cares! That being said, it makes a lot of sense that I would want to draw other people...real people...but who also wander in the fictional world, acting out in rich detail great stories on the silver screen. They have made my life a better place! My "hats off" to them, and I hope I am able to do them justice in my paintings.
