Faces 142-150, Studies
This latest batch of faces consists of colored pencil studies, and figure related studies. I gave my soft pastels a temporary holiday after finding some higher quality colored pencils in my stash to play with. Although pleased with the colored pencils, I am sure by my next post I will pick up with the soft pastels again.

Busy, Busy, Busy
This past week was so filled with chaos, I almost gave up on my goal of drawing three faces a day. But then, I got myself caught up with the faces and it's given me the initiative to press on forward...even though I didn't have time to post them until now!

Hopefully I can stay on top of my goal during the holidays, and during the busy days I have been having. It is sooo cold here tonight and our wind chill is going to be in the teens in the morning. Doesn't feel like Florida, at all! Hope wherever you are, reader, you are cozy!Wednesday, December 8, 2010

The Latest Faces
Face #102
This next one is a work in progress, and has been done with ink and colored pencil.

And two more in ink...

The next four are done in graphite. I am trying to rise above the humble #2 pencil.

I think at one time or another, most people have one of these toxic "friends" or relatives (below). You know the type: For instance, you announce you are on a diet, and they sabotage your efforts by giving you cookies and cakes! Best to maintain your resolve, and try to see through the disguise of the false well meant intentions.
Face #109
This next face is charcoal and ink.
Face #110
And I almost didn't even post this last one because it is done with ball point pen on the back of a receipt, using my purse as a make-shift desk in the car while waiting for my son to be through at the doctor's office!
Face #111
Have a great weekend, and thanks for visiting!
