Progress
I am still settling into my new place, and it has taken much longer than I thought it would to adjust. I still have so much to take care of around here. One thing I was so pleased with in my new place were the drapes I ordered. The manufacturer's description of the color is "sea glass green", and it really fits. The faux silk is really luminous and the color shifts throughout the day with yummy blues and greens.I know that I will want to sew and add table runners and pillows, to tie it all together. It was challenging selecting fabrics to that end...
This pillow I sewed will be going to the guest bedroom, as I felt it doesn't quite work out here. Here in the master bedroom, at least the bed in the bag is now on the bed! I still have a Sauder "desk in the box" waiting to be assembled! I fell in love with the heavy quilting of this bed set I bought from JCPenney. It just goes to show that not all quilts have that "dorky homemade look". This set, though machine manufactured, was most certainly designed with the very extravagant Welsh quilting and with old world European designs in mind. At least I think I am finally settled enough to "unleash" the pastels and do some work soon! Until next time, take care!
